Our financial contribution to the Evangelical Church in Vaddipadu has been supporting the children at the Manasseh Children's Home and providing quality rice for some people stuck in poverty. After discussions about how we can try to break the poverty cycle for these families, it was decided that the church could use the money to purchase two sewing machines to teach the women how to sew, and with God's blessing, be able to create and sell clothing as means of income. The Evangelical Church has a lady who currently knows this skill and is willing to train the women in this. Here is the email from Pastor Devadas:
Dear Sister Sarah, We are so glad to inform you that yesterday we brought two sewing machines for training in sewing (for poor womens) through your help. These two machines are different. One is Zigzag/normal stitching machine. It is very useful machine (like two in one). Other machine is normal Stitching machine. We hope that this project can help to poor womens for getting some income in future after they learn this work. Please pray for this project. We are so grateful to you for your support for this project Sister. Yours in His Grace Pastor Devadas
