Be My Sent Ones!

“Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” (John 20:21-22)
Come and Rest in My Presence From Today’s reading: Acts 13:22 “God raised up David to be king, for God said of him, ‘I have found in David, son of Jesse, a man who always pursues my heart and will accomplish all that I have destined him to do.’”
Lord, make me a person after your own heart, poured out for Your will to be done.
Enjoy and Worship the One who has called and sent you!

Receive My Power Reading: Acts 13:1-25 ESV Audio Bible Follow Saul & Barnabas’ Journey Map 18
Extract: Acts 13:2-12 TPT
“While they were worshiping as priests before the Lord in prayer and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘I have called Barnabas and Saul to do an important work for me. Now, release them to go and fulfil it.’ So after they had fasted and prayed, they laid hands on them and sent them off. So Saul and Barnabas, and their assistant Mark (known as John), were directed by the Holy Spirit to go to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus. When they arrived at Salamis, they went to the Jewish meeting houses and preached the manifestation of our Lord.
From there they crossed the island as far as Paphos, where they encountered a Jewish false prophet, a sorcerer named Elymas, who also went by the name of ‘son of Jesus.’ He had gained influence as the spiritual advisor to the regional governor, Sergius Paulus, considered by many to be a wise and intelligent leader. The governor requested a meeting with Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the message of God’s word. But Elymas, whose name means ‘sorcerer,’ stood up against them and tried to prevent the governor from believing their message. ‘Saul, also known as Paul, stared into his eyes and rebuked him. Filled with the Holy Spirit, he said, ‘You son of the Devil! You are full of every form of fraud and deceit and an enemy of all that is right. When will you stop perverting the truth of God into lies? At this very moment the hand of God’s judgment comes down upon you and you will be blind—so blind you won’t even be able to see the light of the sun.’ As Paul spoke these words, a shadowy mist and darkness came over the sorcerer, leaving him blind and groping about, begging someone to lead him around by the hand. When the governor witnessed this, he believed and was awestruck by the power of the message of the Lord.”
Note: The Regional Governor of Cyprus, Sergius Paulus, was the first of many Gentile and Jewish leaders who heard the gospel preached by Paul – as had been prophesied!
Listen to what the Word Says, Obey and Share.
S: Remember Paul had recently been struck blind himself. How did the governor react?
O: Ask God to give you His discernment and authority to stand against the attacks of the enemy.
S: Are you building relationship with prayer warriors and evangelists you recognise are ready to be anointed and released to go and fulfil God’s call?
Be My Spirit-led Witnesses We recommend Andrew Turner, ‘Fruitful Church: A Manifesto for Sending.’ www.fruifulchurch.net
“Our aim is to make strong disciples of Jesus and release them for his mission in the world.” “The mission of the fruitful church is to produce disciple-making disciples, which will often involve planting church-planting churches.” “If it reproduces it’s considered to be a living thing.” (Turner, p43,76,24)

Be My House of Prayer Lord, we thank you for the church who releases us to our calling and supports us to minister in the power and authority of the Holy Spirit.  We bless Your church to be fruitful.
Holy Spirit, come upon us and lead us in how we pray:
Pray for your prayer list and family and friends to receive Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Pray for Australia to receive Jesus as Lord and for His Church to be His House of Prayer.
Pray for a new generation of young prayer warriors and evangelists to arise in Jesus’ revival and transformation in our nation.

“…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses..." (Acts 1:8)

Austin Cove Community Church are intentional in our prayer lives. We know there are so many different ways to communicate to God in prayer and we like to get creative.

Long prayers, short prayers, breath prayers, meditating on the Word in prayer, while we are driving, with friends, with family, around a meal, with our spouse, inside, outside, writing down our prayers, sending God an
email, singing our prayers... however you like to talk to God, be sure to make time to listen :)
