I Have Chosen You!
“For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.” (Thessalonians 1:4-5)
Come and Rest in My Presence“My sons, do not now be negligent, for the Lord has chosen you to stand in his Presence, to minister to him and to be his ministers and make offerings to him.” (2 Chronicles 29:11)
Can you say, “Lord, I have chosen You as my first love!”?
Proclaim through your worship: “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.” (Psalm 27:4)
Receive My Power Reading: Acts 10:1-33 ESV Audio Bible See Peter’s Journey Map 16 The Holy Spirit encountered Peter through a vision to prepare him to bring the gospel to Cornelius.
Extract: Acts 10:19,22,31–33 TPT
“As Peter was in deep thought, trying to interpret the vision, the Spirit said to him, ‘Go downstairs now, for three men are looking for you. Don’t hesitate to go with them, because I have sent them.’ Peter went downstairs to the men and said, ‘I believe I’m the one you’re looking for. What brings you here?’ They answered, ‘We serve Cornelius, a Roman military captain, who sent us to find you. He is a devout man of the highest integrity who worships God and is respected throughout the Jewish Community. He was divinely instructed through the appearance of an angel to summon you to his home and to listen to the message that you would bring him.’”
He said, “Cornelius, God has heard your prayers. Your generosity to the poor has been recorded and remembered in the God’s Presence. However, you must send for a man named Simon the Rock, who is staying in Joppa as a guest of Simon the tanner, who lives by the sea.” So I immediately sent my men to bring you here – and you were kind enough to come. And now, here we are, all of us in God’s Presence, anxious to hear the message that God has put into your heart to share with us.’”
Be My Spirit-led Witnesses Listen to what the Word Says, Obey and Share.
S: What is God saying to you through this?
O: Has God sent you to bring the good news to a particular people group or age group?
S: Will you ask the Holy Spirit to show you which people around you are “anxious to hear the message that God has put on your heart to share with” them?
‘Keys to Spirit Led Outreach’ by Stuart Gramenz (p39-42) www.spiritledlife.com.au
Stuart teaches us the W.O.W Prayer: Pray for Workers, Opportunities, What to Say.
1. Pray for Workers: Jesus didn’t instruct us to pray for the harvest. He asked us to pray that the Lord will send workers. We have each been chosen as Jesus’ ‘sent ones’. God so loved the world He sent Jesus. The true motivation to being a ‘sent one’ is love. If no one preaches how will they hear the word and have faith so they can call on the name of the Lord and be saved? (Romans 10:13-15)
Pray that you and other believers will become sent ones. Pray we are released from the common mindsets (demonic strongholds) that keep us from obeying. (See Stuart’s list, p41.) Spend the time you need with the Holy Spirit to identify and pray through the areas you need to overcome so you are free to become a sent one. Paul repeatedly asked the Church to pray this prayer for him. He needed strengthening too. (Ephesians 6:18-20, Colossians 4:3)
Say with Paul, "I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16)
Your Testimony. During these 40 days, spend time inquiring to the Lord about your Identity and Kingdom assignment. “To break old paradigms we must work at the level of identity, not just action.” (Turner p49) See some tools to help you do this: http://partnersinprayer.org.au/let-father-define-you/ Include your Identity and Kingdom assignment in your testimony. Knowing who we are in Christ is key to becoming Jesus’ witness. You are welcome to submit your written testimony to www.PrayforAustralia.com.au. If you video your testimony, upload it to Vimeo or Youtube and include the link in your submission. We will share some testimonies publicly.

Be My House of Prayer Lord, You alone are the One we worship.
Father, thank You for choosing us and enabling us to become who we were designed to be.
Jesus, we pray for harvest workers and we hear your call and obey.
Holy Spirit, come upon us and lead us in how we pray:
Pray for your prayer list and family and friends to receive Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Pray for Australia to receive Jesus as Lord and for His Church to be His House of Prayer.
Pray for a new generation of young prayer warriors and evangelists to arise in Jesus’ revival and transformation of our nation.
“…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses..." (Acts 1:8)
